Hi there!  My name is Katie and I am a watercolor painter, illustrator, photographer, and designer living in the wonderful city of Lynnwood, Washington. 

 

I studied fine art painting and graphic design at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, D.C. after graduating from high school in 2002. I completed an MBA in 2018 and currently work with small organizations and businesses doing marketing, outreach, and design work. In 2021, I completed a certificate program in UX Design and became interested in accessibility and user advocacy.

 

I recently was appointed by the Lynnwood City Council to a position with the Lynnwood Arts Commission. I look forward to serving my community and promoting, supporting, and advocating for artists and the arts within Lynnwood.

Animal rescue, Alzheimer’s/dementia, the arts, mental health and outdoors stewardship are all causes that are important to me.

 

Other facts about me: I am a mushroom forager, rock hound, climber, hiker, and lover of the great outdoors.  Nature is my biggest inspiration and my favorite place to be.  I love to read as well - my favorite genre is horror.
