My Favorite Wildlife Photos

I saw this bear at Glacier National Park in 2019. What an incredible sighting! I have been wanting to go back to Montana ever since I left. It's a gorgeous state. I'll have to do a separate post of photos from that trip, but for now, please enjoy some of my favorite wildlife photos that I've taken over the years.

I'm going to state the obvious, just in case there is any question - I kept my distance with the larger animals and used a telephoto lens. There was only one instance with mountain goats that we were too close and that wasn't intentional.

Another bear - saw this one in the Enchanted Valley, August 2021.

A Roosevelt elk in the Hoh Rainforest

A mountain goat in the Enchantments - this was coming down from Snow Lake. There were goats everywhere. We were cornered at one point (see below for one angle) and made a call to step off the trail and, um, slide down, to the next switchback.

See what I mean?

Another Enchantments creature, but this was on a different trip. This deer followed us for awhile.

Another bear at Glacier National Park.

Don't think I forget about the little guys - here are some banana slugs.
